Spring Schooling Day April 6, 2024!  
A day for learning in a fun and safe environment!

 Schooling Days at Feather Creek are open to everyone! A Schooling Day will be scheduled before each competition, allowing competitors to school any or all phases. Schooling will be held from 9:00am - 4:30pm the day before the horse trials. There will be a stadium jumping course set in the ring. Heights for stadium schooling will go from HIGHEST to LOWEST through the day (*See: *Stadium Jumping Schooling" below for times and heights). You may walk the course between divisions (during height changes) or before schooling begins in the morning. Cross Country schooling will allow access to all jumps.

*** Approved headgear is required for Dressage and SJ schooling.*** 

ALL RIDERS MUST CHECK IN AT THE OFFICE upon arrival to sign forms, show a CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS, and receive their bridle number! Cross Country schooling participants will have numbers - these as well as approved headgear, vest, and ground person are required. Please check in with ground person at the bridge when you start XC schooling. No motorized vehicles other than official FCF vehicles are allowed on XC!

Rates: 

  • Stadium schooling, $25

  • XC schooling, $60

  • Judged dressage tests, $25/test

  • Stabling $200 for Friday - Monday

Notice: If you have not registered and paid prior to the closing date (3/30), you will not be able to participate in the schooling day.

Stadium Jumping schooling:

**Jump heights will go from highest to lowest throughout the day.

Plan to walk the course between divisions during height changes or in the morning before schooling begins. The course will be available to walk between 8am and 9am. 

There will be a 2.5 minute limit for each schooling round. Please exit the arena when your time is up- you may re-enter the queue to jump again.

  • 8:00am - 9:00am - Course walks

  • 9:00am - 9:30am - Modified - 3'5" (1.05m)

  • 9:45am - 10:45am - Training - 3'3" (1.00m)

  • 11:00am - 12:00pm - Novice - 2'11" (.90m)

  • 12:15 pm - 1:45pm - Beginner Novice - 2'6" (.80m)

  • 2:00pm - 3:30pm - Starter - 2'3" (.70m)

  • 3:45pm - 4:30pm - Green as Grass (Intro) - 18" (.43m) 

  • 4:30pm - Schooling ends
